Atomistic Simulations, Electronic Structure, Computational Materials Science and Applications: the African Network (ASESMANET)
Since 2019, this network has supported intra-Africa research visits, Africa-Europe research visits, the participation of African scientists to the PSI-K 2022 conference, to the CECAM workshops, to the 'Total energy' workshop, and to the ETSF workshops.
Every year, one open call is issued for intra-African and Africa-Europe research visits.
ASESMANET is generously supported by CECAM, Psi-k, NCCR-MARVEL (for the Africa-Europe visits), and by the Abdus Salam ICTP (for the intra-Africa visits).
ASESMANET is coordinated by Garu Gebreyesus (University of Ghana, chair), Omololu Akin-Ojo (University of Ibadan), Anne Etindele (University of Yaounde), Kingsley Obodo (EAIFR), Ali Hassanali (ICTP), and Nicola Seriani (ICTP).
